John's Birthday (Celebration)
As a preface to the actual post, I'd first like to apologize for not posting my Word of the Days as usual. Things have been quite busy around my house. I'd also like to say that I'm hoping to start posting once a week, aside from my Word of the Days. I'd like to be able to post more often, but, being in school, I do not really have the time. (On the note of school: If you'd like to know what classes I'm taking leave me a comment!) Since I am a bit behind, and I have several experiences to share, I will be doing posts on some that are a week or two old. With that, let me tell you about the amazing day I had with John and G.
First, we all met at a cute little bake shop that is downtown. We had some coffee and macarons. Their macarons are so cute and really good. While I've definitely had better tasting coffee, it isn't bad. I cannot post any photos because all of my uploads are failing! I took a few pictures of my order, and John took a few of her own order. Hers turned out really well!
After that, we hit two local thrift stores and I got some good deals. G wore a skirt so that she could try pants on in one of the stores that doesn't have a fitting room. John really like Grandma Sweaters. You know, those ones with birdhouses and bees embroidered on them? Yes. Those ones. It was a very interesting day of shopping.
After we had finished our thrifting, we went to a Mexican restaurant. I spent quite a few minutes searching the menu for a NORMAL BURRITO! G ended up taking my menu and pointing me to the kids' menu. It had a plain burrito and rice and beans. I was quite content.
After dinner, we went to G's house to hang out. Her mom wanted to see everything we got, and it was wonderful! John opened her gifts ( She got lots of scented things.) I GOT TO HOLD THE YOUNGEST OF G'S SIBLINGS FOR THE FIRST TIME!! Her siblings are great! We ate some banana ice cream and hung out in her room until my mom came to get me. (John stayed the night)
The day was great, and I'd like to say thank you to John for inviting me!
